fragments attention, and reduces instructional time. Bell-to-bell phone-free environments
restore focus and allow teachers to teach and students to learn without persistent digital interruption.

Restricting phone use during the school day reduces social pressure, anxiety, and online conflict,
while creating space for genuine, in-person connection. Students benefit from predictable,
